The DVD version of the American Girl Molly books tells the tale of Molly, a nine-year-old living during World War II. Molly does not like the changes that the war has brought into her life. Her father is caring for soldiers overseas and her mother is off helping the war causes in town. She misses the way her family was before the war but does learn the importance of pulling together in tough times, as her country is doing for the war.
